UKTV Drama is offering UK viewers a mix of Doctor Who from the 60s to 2006 this weekend. No additional broadcasts scheduled on UKTV Drama through August. |

SciFi US viewers - there was apparently a glitch with the 9PM showing of The Shakespeare Code, so the broadcast had no closing credits or preview for Gridlock. The closing credits and the promo for Gridlock were intended to air, and did air with the 11PM showing. The edits of several scenes in the body of the program were not glitches - the episode was at least a minute longer than what SciFi will air in an hour. Expect scenes to be cut from Daleks In Manhattan, Evolution Of The Daleks, Human Nature, Utopia, The Sound Of Drums, and major edits from Last Of The Time Lords (51 1/2 minutes in the UK) if they don't do an extended time slot for that one. |

SciFi's Friday Who lineup (subject to change - there's already been one change): through August 3 (Evolution Of The Daleks) - 9PM and 11PM EDT/PDT August 10 only (The Lazarus Experiment) - 8PM and Midnight EDT/PDT (two showings of the 90 minute Flash Gordon premiere between these airings) starting August 17 (42) - 8PM and 1AM EDT/PDT August 31 - pre-empted for Labor Day weekend programming |

CBC Canada http://www.cbc.ca/television is offering full length Doctor Who episodes at http://www.cbc.ca/doctorwho . Currently Smith And Jones, The Shakespeare Code, and Gridlock are online. The CBC is expected to have 4 episodes up at once, with new episodes arriving the day after their Canadian premieres (look for Daleks In Manhattan on the 17th). As reported by the Doctor Who Information Network http://www.dwin.org and tested by the computers of many Doctor Who fans, the episodes are being restricted, only available to computers that the system identifies as being in Canada. |

Hopefully Russell T. Davies wasn't being entirely serious on the commentary track for Last Of The Time Lords, when he remarked that the BBC was doing a 45 minute edit of the episode to air internationally, and that overseas stations wouldn't get the full length version. I can see making a standard length version - but offer both and indicate that the 51 1/2 minute one is better, so the stations that care can give viewers the full experience. Course, saying something on the commentary track doesn't make it so - so I'm still hoping that various countries get the full version of the finale. |
